Styled Bridal Shoot February 2023

IT BEGINS

Styled shoots usually form out of thin air - simply a gust of inspiration. A craving for collaboration. And last December, that’s exactly what I set my mind on. Fast forward to February 2023, and we made it HAPPEN! So blessed to have worked with so many talented creators.

FLORALS

The colours of the florals were inspired by the Pantone colour of the year: Viva Magenta. Kate, our florist from Gather Floral, brought it up as an idea and so worked her magic to make that colour palette happen. I think we can safely say she killed it. It emanates romance, love & passion.

THE STUDIO

The studio space I knew right away was going to be The Annex studio at Millworks Creative in Dundas. They were actually going through renovations in January, so we couldn’t book until February… and I’m so glad we waited because holy moly the improvements they made! And they had this amazing Garden installation by Just The Daisies. Be still my beating heart.

THE WEDDING DRESSES

The mood board I curated as inspiration for the vendor team featured soft posing, romantic dresses, and detail shots to die for. Amelia, from Stolen Hearts Bridal, took a look at the mood board and immediately knew which dresses she wanted to choose, and the veil. She sent them over to me to look at before the shoot and I was in LOVE! The words “I’m going to poop my pants” were squealed WAY more than once while I was shooting these looks. 😂

THE MODEL

Making the decision for the bride was very easy - I put out a model call on my Instagram and Daisy was among the first to reach out! I hadn’t worked with her before but we’d been mutuals for a long time. Her facial expressions and posing were PERFECT for this shoot and I couldn’t have asked for a better model!

MORE LOVELY PEOPLE

I also invited my photographer friends Tiffany and Keri to join me along for the ride. Tiffany was responsible for creating the flatlay… So beautiful. Keri has a twin sister, Teri, who offered her makeup services for the shoot as well! She nailed it. I’m surrounded by talented humans!!!

THE REST

Shoes and ring I sourced from Limeridge Mall… LOL! Shoes were from ALDO and ring was from Swarovski. The sparkle in that thing!? Breathtaking.

I am BEYOND thankful for this team. They made my styled bridal shoot dreams come true. Big round of applause!!!
